What are safe DE dreads and why choose them?

Safe dreads, also known as dreadlocks (DE – Double Ended), are sets made of top-quality synthetic hair – kanekalon. I braid them into your natural hair using a special method similar to synthetic braids. No backcombing, glue or chemicals. Your hair stays completely safe, resting inside a neat little braid.

What is the installation process like at KSBraid?

I make every set by hand, matching it perfectly to your wishes in length, thickness, weight and shade. The whole transformation takes place in the most comfortable conditions:

• Consultation & personalisation: We discuss your dream colour, texture (smooth, textured or soft dreads) and the right sectioning of your head.
• Making the set: I prepare your individual, one-of-a-kind set by hand.
• Gentle installation: I use a safe braid-in method that guarantees a durable and painless fit. Installation time depends on your hair density but usually takes 4 to 5 hours.

How to care for safe dreads every day?

Caring for synthetic dreads is incredibly simple and saves a lot of time in the morning:

• Washing: Washing your hair once every 7–10 days is enough.
• Technique: Use soapy foam (shampoo diluted with water). Apply it with a sponge only to the scalp between the partings. The dreads themselves just need rinsing with water.
• What to avoid: Skip balms, masks and hot-air drying completely.
• Scalp comfort: In the first days after installation you may feel slight skin tension. This is a normal reaction that passes quickly. If your scalp itches, wipe the partings with a cotton pad soaked in one of these: Octenisept, Asept, Borasol or chamomile infusion, then apply Alantan Plus or Sudocrem cream.
